Ariel starting swimming when she was just two months old, in her Mother's Parent-Child class. She took to the water quickly and has been involved in aquatics ever since.
Ariel taught her first swimming lessons when she was only 12 years old. She was a junior lifeguard for five years; in her fourth year, she a student assistant to the instructor of the program; and in her fifth year, she co-taught the program. Last summer she organized and implemented the YMCA Swim Camp Program. She has been working as a lifeguard and She is one of our "master" instructors and assists with training new instructors.
She is attending Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA, on an academic and athletic scholarship for basketball. Although we miss her, as well as her students missing her, it is a great opportunity for her and we wish her well. The great thing is she is back from school (on vacation) and is teaching lessons!

Joe taught swimming and life guarded "back in the day" in Los Angeles, CA. He has always enjoyed the water, aquatic activities, and working with children. He is a current Water Safety Instructor and will teach classes on occasion.
Uncle Joe, as the children know him, is our "customer service" guy, answering calls, setting up the table, greeting the families, but most importantly, he builds special relationships with the children since he is the one the children go to get their hands stamped after class! |

Taylor Dugan
Taylor started her swimming career in her Mother's Parent-Child class as an infant, and has assisted with the lifeguard training course and other water-related classes. Taylor has earned her WSI certification and is ready to begin teaching classes. She has trained under Stacy, Ariel, and Kelly, and has shown excellent instructor qualities.
Taylor earned Athlete-Scholar for ROTC at Baldwin High School for the 2009-2010 school year. She plays Volleyball, Fast-pitch (Softball), and runs hurdles in Track & Field.
